25 individuals arrested for attacking police in Kwahu Bepong
The Ghana Police Service has apprehended 25 individuals in relation to an assault on its officers and the vandalism of properties in Kwahu Bepong, Eastern Region.
The group reportedly attacked police personnel and caused damage to the local area.
Law enforcement was summoned to maintain order after certain residents took matters into their own hands regarding an alleged murder suspect. However, discontent among the residents led to the hurling of stones at the police and destruction of their motorcycles.
In response, a reinforcement team, in collaboration with local police, successfully restored tranquility. The situation has normalized, and ongoing efforts are in place to apprehend additional suspects for legal proceedings.
The police assured that comprehensive details of the incident will be communicated at an appropriate time.

TWENTY-FIVE PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR AN ATTACK ON POLICE AT KWAHU BEPONG
The Ghana Police Service has arrested 25 people in connection with an attack on Police officers and the destruction of some properties at Kwahu Bepong in the Eastern Region.
Police reinforcement team working with the local Police have restored calm and things have been normalized while efforts are ongoing to get the other suspects arrested to face justice.
