Unknown assailants carried out a brutal attack in Binduri, located in the Upper East region, resulting in the tragic deaths of approximately five individuals.
The assailants, armed and unidentified, violently invaded a market in Binduri on Monday, opening fire indiscriminately. Municipal Chief Executive for Bawku, Hamza Amadu, confirmed this distressing incident to Citi News.
Amadu conveyed that the victims, predominantly women, were innocently conducting their routine business activities when the gunmen launched a hail of gunfire upon them.
Expressing deep concern, Amadu mentioned that the current count of casualties may increase, suggesting the possibility of additional victims.
Authorities are set to initiate investigations to unveil the motives behind this heinous attack.
