Aspiring NPP Parliamentary Candidate In Mpohor Stresses Motivation For Service And Development

Philip Asirifi Cobbinah, a parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party in the Mpohor Constituency, says his greatest motivation to contest the seat is to serve the constituents.

According to him, combining capability and resources can cause an appreciable level of development in the constituency.

Mr. Asirifi Cobbinah remarked that governance is not about competition but about bringing about development in the lives of the people.

Mr. Asirifi Cobbinah notes that although successive governments have done their part in bringing development in terms of motorable roads and access to healthcare into the constituency, more needs to be done.

Adding to this, he mentioned that the current state of development is below average.

“I think God has blessed me with enough intelligence and capability. I have a lot of ideas, and when I come to my constituency, I’m able to experience some of the challenges that are confronted with the constituency. The drive is to serve people and help my constituency.

“Even though we belong to the same party, it is still a competition to help the constituency you come from attain a certain level of development, so if I can use the little resources I have, I will also help the Mpohor Constituency, to a level I appreciate.

“I think successive governments have done their bidding and are still working on it. Going around, I think we lack a lot of infrastructure development in terms of roads, health facilities, water, and a whole lot of them. We are still below the halfway mark.”
