CSA Warns Against Rising Job Scams, Urges Vigilance Among Ghanaians

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) is advising Ghanaians to be wary in their quest to secure lucrative jobs through agencies or online sites.

In a press statement, it indicated a sharp rise in job scams across the country, thus entreating citizens to remain vigilant.

The CSA says it has already received at least 15 reports of victims losing over GH 124,000 through its cybercrime reporting channels.

It explained, ” The scammers pose as recruiters and advertise remote or part-time high-paying job roles that require performing digital take such as liking social media posts and giving referrals to friends, unsolicited messages are randomly sent to the public via SMS, emails, and messaging platforms like WhatsApp or Telegram,” it cautioned.
