National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Shama in the Western Region Emelia Arthur envisions an administrative term where she will use politics as a vehicle through which the people of “Esemaman” will experience real changes in their lives.
Emelia Arthur agrees that politics should hold true to its intent of serving people and assures, among other things, a tenure where tailored opportunities are available for young people.
“Where the contributions of everyone, most especially the woman is celebrated. Where families thrive on reliable incomes, where children receive stellar education, where individual talents are acknowledged, and where our elders are cherished and respected.
In a New Year message, the parliamentary candidate imagines a Shama Constituency where lives are dignified and people are truly happy.
It is this commitment to see a new Shama, and with a rooted intimate understanding of what will be regarded to achieve this vision, that she believes she is the most suitable candidate.
She, however, understands that she cannot do it alone and will need the collective and unwavering support of all to ensure that “potholes will vanish from our roads, clean drinking water will flow abundantly, healthcare, education and sanitation infrastructure will witness massive transformation.”
“Step by step, we’ll address every developmental challenge that confronts us in Shama.”
“I’ve been fortunate to connect with many of you who share our aspirations for Shama constituency. Your call for unity, constructive dialogue and a shared vision echoes deeply within me. From our esteemed Chiefs to the vibrant youth, the resilient women and the invaluable members with disabilities, each voice contributes to our shared dream of a cohesive and prosperous Shama. Your yearning for leadership that uplifts and represents our interests resonates profoundly.
The challenges of last year are not lost on her but as we embrace a new beginning “let us not dwell on adversities but draw on inspiration from the essence of the New Year.
Emelia Arthur is confident that 2024 “beckons us to envision a bright tomorrow for our cherished constituency as it is time for us to rise above the challenges of the past and strive for a future where our constituency not only survives but thrives.
