Afua Asantewaa says she is yet to submit her sing-a-thon attempt for recognition
Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, a Ghanaian who endeavored to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon, has revealed that she is yet to officially submit her attempt for recognition.
In a recent update, she explained that the judging panel and technical team have completed their assessment, and the submission for verification by Guinness World Records is imminent. The official announcement of her record attempt is pending this verification process.
Afua Asantewaa initiated her record-breaking attempt on Christmas Eve, concluding on Friday, December 29, 2023, with an impressive duration of 126 hours and 52 minutes.
Throughout the sing-a-thon held at Akwaaba village, she exclusively showcased a continuous performance of Ghanaian songs. Noteworthy personalities, including A-list musicians and politicians, showed their support during the event.
It’s worth mentioning that Afua Asantewaa has recently been appointed as a Tourism Ambassador.
