The Rotary Club of Takoradi-Anaji has organized a glamorous Presidential Ball and fundraising dinner at the Atlantic Hotel on Saturday, December 23, 2024.

The event, attended by CEOs, traditional rulers, Rotarians, and other distinguished guests, aimed to generate funds for the completion of a nursing quarters for the Sekondi School for the Deaf and the construction of a solar vaccine shelter.

In an exclusive interview with Beach FM, Takoradi-Anaji Rotary President Edwin Kofi Amanor expressed gratitude for the success of the occasion.

“We organized this event to raise finds in support of the Sekondi School for the deaf Nursing Quarters project. It was a successful night and we were able to raise as much as we can to support the project. We had a target of GH¢200,000 but we were able to raise about GH¢100,000.”

“I want to say thank you to all donors, Rotarians, and our sponsors. We are sure this donation will go a long way to take the project to another phase if not complete it,” said the Rotary President of Takoradi-Anaj

He called on organizations, benevolent groups, and the general public to join them in ensuring the success of the project.

“I call on all and sundry to donate to help us complete this project. We aim at finishing it, and that’s our major focus next year…we are hoping that the funds raised will be able to complete it.”

Past Assistant Governor (PAG) Eugene, who expressed excitement over the completed projects by the Takoradi-Anaji Rotary Club, commended them as one of the most dynamic Rotary Clubs in Ghana.

“Although I’m a member of the Rotary Club of Sekondi, I was the proponent of the formation of Takoradi-Anaji Club. I have been a rotarian for 24 years and to see a three-year old club doing wonderful things like building the nursing quarters -of which I did the design, is amazing.”

“It means a lot to me that a very young club has been able to complete 16 projects in 2023; they are certainly one of the most dynamic clubs in Rotary Ghana,” he praised.

The success of the Presidential Ball showcased the club’s commitment to impactful projects and community development, reinforcing its reputation as a proactive force within the Rotary network.
