Relatives of slain businesswoman appeals for a swift trial

The relatives of the 35-year-old businesswoman who fell victim to her house help’s violence in Sokoban, Ashanti Region, is urgently requesting the Attorney General’s advice and a swift court hearing for the case.

This plea comes after the prosecutor revealed that the police had completed their investigation and were awaiting guidance from the Attorney General before proceeding with the committal process.

The recent court hearing saw a heightened security presence at the Asokore Mampong District Court to prevent some relatives members from attacking the suspects.

In light of this development, the court decided to adjourn the case until October 31, 2023.

The deceased’s relatives, speaking to the media after the court session, stressed the importance of a prompt trial, especially given that the prime suspect has already confessed to the crime.

They emphasized their determination to pursue justice expeditiously and without delay.
