University of Ghana announces the withdrawal of level 200, 300 students with CGPA below 1.00
Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, the University of Ghana (UG) will be implementing a policy outlined in Section 9.26 of the University Regulations for Junior Members (2017).
This policy mandates the withdrawal of undergraduate students with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) below 1.00 in the Colleges of Basic and Applied Sciences, Education and Humanities.
In accordance with this policy, current level 200 and level 300 students who have received their 2022/2023 examination results and have a CGPA below the required minimum for their college will soon receive official withdrawal letters via their Official UG email addresses.
For those students who have already paid their tuition fees for the 2023/2024 academic year, the University will process refunds upon request.
The University recognizes the significance of this decision and encourages students with questions or those in need of support to reach out to their respective College Academic Affairs Office.
A separate notice regarding the College of Health Sciences will be issued in the near future.
This announcement has taken many students by surprise, especially those who are facing academic challenges.
