Employees of GBC calls for the dismissal of Director-General

The employees of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) have raised a collective demand for the immediate removal of their Director-General, Professor Amin Alhassan, citing concerns about his alleged ineffective management of the corporation.
To underscore their request, they displayed red banners both within and outside the GBC premises.
The workers argue that Mr. Alhassan’s four-year contract expired on October 1, and extending it further would have negative consequences for the Corporation.
Samuel Nathaniel Kevor, Divisional Union Chairman of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Workers Union, conveyed to Citi News that they have granted the Director-General a peaceful four-year tenure but are dissatisfied with the situation.
According to Kevor, the company is deteriorating under Mr. Alhassan’s leadership, and they believe that extending his contract could lead to further decline.
