The Executive Secretary of the Exporters and Importers Association of Ghana, Sampson Awingobit says there is little the government can do to turn the fortunes of the country around.
” Under this government, I don’t see things getting better. They are barely left with one year tenure.
We were expecting much better in the previous mid-year budgets but our expectations never came through.
Maybe the 2024 budget review would come with some relief for the business community.”
Mr. Awingobit, in an interview on Beach FM, bemoaned the high taxes imposed on the business community, which are taking a toll on their businesses.
According to him, the mid-year budget presented over the years gave the business community no hope of things getting better.
