South Africa includes Ghana in its E-Visa list
The South African government has made an announcement that Ghana has been included in the list of countries eligible for E-Visa applications.
This development implies that Ghanaian citizens who intend to travel to South Africa can now submit their visa applications online, eliminating the need to physically visit the South African High Commission in Accra.
The South African High Commission in Ghana issued a statement on September 28, 2023, to communicate this change.
The statement reads, “The High Commission of the Republic of South Africa wishes to inform that Ghana has been added by the Government of the Republic of South Africa on the E-Visa list, which means that Ghanaian Nationals can apply online for visas to South Africa without visiting the High Commission.”
The High Commission also encouraged Ghanaians to visit the Department of Home Affairs of the Republic of South Africa’s website at www.dha.gov.za for more information regarding this update.
It’s important to note that standard requirements, such as passport details, a letter of invitation or proof of accommodation, and a bank statement, will still be verified upon arrival at the point of entry.
