The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has expressed his sympathy for the victims of the recent floods that have affected various parts of the country, particularly in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr. Mahama described the recurring floods as disheartening and attributed them to the government’s lack of commitment and effective solutions to address the perennial issue.

He emphasized the need for a responsible government to prioritize measures to prevent or minimize such disasters and criticized the current administration for its apparent lack of commitment and innovative solutions.

Mr. Mahama called on the government and relevant agencies to adopt strategic and proactive measures to address the situation, including implementing appropriate regulations, improving waste management, and investing in sustainable drainage systems to prevent future flooding incidents.
