Police investigate the murder and alleged rape of an 18-year-old woman in Anwiankwanta

An investigation has been initiated by the police in the Ashanti region into the alleged rape and murder of an 18-year-old woman in Anwiankwanta.

According to local residents, the 18-year-old apprentice was offered a ride by individuals in a vehicle who claimed they would drop her off at her home.

When she did not return, concerned community members launched a search for her. Tragically, they discovered her lifeless body in an unfinished building just a few meters away from her residence.

Eyewitnesses reported that she was partially undressed, raising suspicions that she may have been sexually assaulted prior to her demise.

Law enforcement authorities were notified, and a comprehensive investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding her untimely and perplexing death.

Frank Awuah, the assembly member for the Awiankwanta electoral area, mentioned in an interview that the police investigation is ongoing and encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
