Adwoa Safo: ‘She has done something positive’ -NPP welcomes her apology
The public apology rendered by Sarah Adwoa Safo, the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, has received the support of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Due to the legislator’s extended absence from the legislature, there were calls for her seat to be declared vacant.
Haruna Mohammed, the NPP’s deputy general secretary, said that people responded favorably to her apology, which helps the party’s reputation.
According to Haruna Mohammed, “she has done something positive and the party welcomes her apology.”
On Thursday, September 14, 2023, Sarah Adwoa Safo apologized in a viral video circulating on social media to the NPP leadership and her constituents for her protracted absence from Parliament.
The executives of her constituency accepted the apology, but they cautioned her against running for reelection in 2024, if she intended to use the opportunity to do so.
