Ken Ohene Agyapong, a prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, has affirmed his determination not to withdraw from the race ahead of the party’s crucial presidential primaries scheduled for November 4.

The Member of Parliament for Assin North took to his Twitter page on Wednesday, September 12, 2023, to deliver this resolute message, stating unequivocally, “I’m not going to step down for anybody.”

Mr. Agyapong, has also expressed his unwavering determination to lead the country, citing what he believes to be divine intervention in his candidacy.

Speaking passionately about his aspirations, he emphasized that his consistent top-ranking position in various assessments and polls indicates a divine calling to lead the nation. He went on to appeal to the party’s delegates, urging them to recognize the unmistakable signs pointing toward his leadership.

“It’s a clear indication that God has chosen me to lead the country. Everywhere you go, I’m number one, and this tells you that I’ve been given a chance to lead the NPP; so I’m pleading with the delegates that the signs are clearly on the wall -if you vote for me, I’ll lead the country.”

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of the delegates’ role in the selection process, emphasizing their ability to choose the best candidate based on their understanding of the challenges faced by polling station executives and the Ghanaian population at large.

Ken Ohene Agyapong expressed confidence in the delegates’ wisdom and urged them to remain steadfast in their decision-making process, regardless of any monetary offers or intimidation tactics that may arise during the lead-up to the November 4 primaries.

He firmly believes that the delegates will ultimately make a choice that serves the best interests of the party and the nation.

“No matter the amount of money they are going to pay, I’m confident in the delegates that they have the brains to choose the best candidate -the man who understands the plight of the polling station executives and the Ghanaian. Come November 4, with all the intimidation the delegates are going to speak and it’s up to all of us the contestants and our supporters to abide by what has been put in place by the elections committee.”
