A nine-member committee has been set up to investigate the cause of an explosion at Kobina Andoh Krom in the Shama District, of the Western Region.
The committee is under the Chairmanship of the Chief Director of the Western Regional Coordinating Council, WRCC Frederick Agyemang.
The Environmental Protection Agency, National Disaster Management Organisation Works Engineer, Assembly Member for Anto Aboso, the Police, Fire Service, Minerals Commission, and the Ghana Health Service are the committee’s representatives.
The incident claimed four lives, leaving others injured. Homes and other properties were destroyed as a result of the explosion.
Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, inaugurating the committee says they have 3 weeks to present the report.
