Cultivate Patriotism, Solidarity And Service To The Nation – Dep. Min. Of Education
The Deputy Minister of Education, John Ntim Fordjour has urged Ghanaians to exhibit the spirit of patriotism.
Mr Ntim Fordjour mentioned this at the launch of the National Service Scheme’s 50th Anniversary with a Remembrance Day ceremony, paying tribute to all the fallen heroes who served the nation since its establishment five decades ago.
The event took place at the National Service Secretariat premises in Sekondi and brought together the Western regional minister, Director of Ghana Education Service, Regional Director of the Service Scheme, Regional and District Coordinators, Commanders from the various security agencies, and the general public.
The day was to honour personnel and staff for their commitment and dedication to serving the country to the best of their abilities.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Minister, of Education, John Ntim Fordjour applauded personnel for accepting postings to parts of the country to serve with little motivation.
The Western Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, Felicia Agyeibea Okai congratulated the Scheme and pledged to support the Service.
Madam Agyeibea Okai encouraged the youth especially the service personnel to be disciplined in their various fields and move away from social vices.

On his part, the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, underscored the contributions of the scheme to national development.
The Western Regional Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme, Okatakyie Amakwa Afrifa expressed his appreciation to all for honouring their invitation.
He also expressed gratitude to stakeholders who in diverse ways have supported the Scheme.
