Sarkodie jumps on FixTheTemaMotorway agenda on Twitter
Legendary Ghanaian rapper who grew up in Tema, Sarkodie, has also gotten behind the effort to pressure the government into fixing the Tema Motorway. He tweeted, “about time FixTheTemaMotorway.”
Social media has heavily been used by some Ghanaians to call for the government to repair the Tema motorway.
On Twitter, users have been using the hashtags FixTheMotorway and FixTheTemaMotorway to share their experiences on the risky road.
A Twitter user wrote, “I lost control of my car after swerving to avoid a pothole on the Tema Motorway, my life is a blessing.”
Another user commented, “a pothole on the Tema Motorway caused my car to break down. Hours passed while I waited for a tow truck.”
Sarkodie was responding to a post by a user named “Ghana Mu Nsem” asking him to lend his support to the “Fix the Motorway” campaign in order to persuade the government to intervene.
