General Secretary of the Public Services Workers Union, PSWU, Bernard Adjei, says the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, FWSC, has failed in its mandate to address concerns faced by workers with regard to payments of salaries and other related issues.
Speaking at the 11th Quadrennial Western Regional Delegates Conference of the PSWU.
According to him, the issue is of great concern, and he called on the FWSC to address it.
The Vice National Chairperson for the Trades Union Congress, TUC, Ken Tweneboah Kodua called on the newly elected leaders of the PSWU of the TUC to fight, as the socio-economic rights and aspirations of its members rest on their shoulders.
According to him, they should consider the office they hold as a calling and strive to give their best to ensure the progress of the Union.
He said, ” Members have some expectations. Their socioeconomic rights and aspirations are on our shoulders, ensuring that our working environment is decent. The policies that we have in our various divisions, our CDAs, and everything that regulates our working life that makes our working life progress, enhance our productivity and grow our institutions are placed on us.
If you see your duty as a calling, to enhance somebody’s working life then you push this Union forward.”
