The legendary musician Okyeame Kwame, who doubles as an entrepreneur, has mentioned that managing an artiste is not part of his plans for now.
He said, his children come first, and he has no plans of managing an artiste
People keep questioning ace musicians to bring on board new artiste and groom them since they’re no longer vibrant in the scene. Well speaking to Okyeame Kwame with Nana Ama Shancy on Spice OFIE ne FIE, he stated categorically that it has never crossed his mind and never will as far as his children are alive.
“I’m managing my children and that’s my priority. My first child is 14 and the second is 12 and they’re both going to SHS. That is what I’m thinking of, how to take good care of them because they’re my responsibility. I don’t have money to add any artiste to manage”, he stated.
However, Okyeame Kwame made it clear that the likes of Amerado, Abochi and others, come to him for mentorship and he gladly attends to them.
He said, “Artiste come to me for mentorship. People like Amerado, Abochi and others come to me and ask me for advice and I help them provided I have the time.”
Okyeame being off the music scene for a while now hinted at a new single and an upcoming EP which he desired his fans to anticipate.
