Nana Yenhyira Kwadwo Kumah, the Krontihene of the Goaso Traditional Area in the Bono Region, has been discovered deceased in a wooded area close to the town, triggering widespread mourning throughout the Goaso community.
The Ahafo Regional Police Command has initiated an inquiry into the incident, and the deceased’s remains have been placed in the mortuary of the Goaso Government Hospital.
In an interview, Richard Kwabena Acheampong, the late chief’s son, mentioned, “According to eyewitnesses, they found him beneath a particular tree, lying lifeless. His attire was intact, with no signs of tearing, bloodshed, or any indication of a struggle. There were no such indications. The body is currently at Goaso Government Hospital, and the authorities are working on it.”
The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of death.
