The Youth in Prestea, within the Prestea Municipality, of the Western Region, have threatened to embark on a demonstration to register their displeasure with the devastating nature of the abandoned road networks in the area.
According to them, successive governments have failed to honour their promises of completing the projects.
They said, continuous complaints have been made on various social and traditional media outlets over the abandoned road projects, highlighting the deplorable state of commercial road networks among other abandoned developmental projects.
In August, the Concerned Youth Of Prestea submitted a letter to the Prestea District Police Headquarters to inform and request security during their intended demonstration, which was slated on September 1 2023, within the principal streets of Prestea township.
After extensive discussions between the security agency and the leaders of the Prestea Youth Group, Thursday, September 7, 2023, was fixed for the protest dubbed, ‘FIX PRESTEA ROADS DEMONSTRATION‘.
