Lower Pra Rural Bank Climax 40th Anniversary With A Durbar At Shama
The Lower Pra Rural Bank PLC has crowned its 40th Anniversary celebrations with a durbar at Shama within the Western region.
The event was graced with dignitaries ranging from traditional authorities, government officials and others from the region to celebrate the success and milestones of the bank.
The theme for the event is; Effectiveness of Lower Pra In Rural Banking For Community Development.”
The Chief Executive Officer of the Lower Pra Bank PLC, Isaac K. Afful, speaking at the event, touted the contributions of the bank since its operations, while lauding promoters of the bank.
In fact, Lower Pra has created a development within its catchment area, especially Shama District, and therefore the Bank has been a blessing to all and sundry. We can confidently conclude that the 40 years of existence have brought development and therefore improved the standard of living of people in the bank’s catchment area.
It is important that we acknowledge the sacrifices made by the promoters and founding members.”
He says the forty years have not been as smooth as expected and the bitter lessons learned should never be forgotten, adding that the bank is committed to its corporate social responsibility without any hindrance.

As part of the 40th Anniversary, hardworking staff were presented with cash rewards, and home appliances, amongst others.
