Hardcore Rap Won’t Sustain In The Industry-Amerado
Ghanaian sensational rapper Amerado has proffered that hardcore rap alone can never sustain you in our industry as an artiste.
Speaking to Nana Ama Shancy on Spice FM’s OFIE NE FIE, the “Grace” crooner stated emphatically that as a rapper, you need to be strategic.
“It depends on your mindset and what you’ve got. We live in a community where you have to satisfy your consumers. If someone ever says Ghanaians do not enjoy rap, I’ll have doubt about it.
You have to rap to the contention of everyone for people to accept you, then after you start to collaborate with the singers. It’s a strategy. If you try to do hardcore rap alone that’s where the problem lies. You can penetrate with the rap. We have Kofi Amewuga coming in with the rap so it’s possible”, He detailed.
The “Obiaa Boa” hitmaker also mentioned how he almost gave up even though things started adding up in the long run.
He said, that being the only male child and a breadwinner has doubled his hustle and kept his head high as giving up meant giving up on his family.
