2023/24 Champions League group stage draw, Newcastle in group of death

In the 2023–24 Champions League group stage, Newcastle United will compete against French League 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, German Bundesliga title contenders, and Italian side, AC Milan.

The Magpies face three European powerhouses in the group stage for the first time since 2002–03, a period of 16 years during which all teams have, at least, advanced to the final.

Manchester United will play Bundesliga title winners Bayern Munich, while the defending champions Manchester City are in the same group as RB Leipzig.

Arsenal will take on Sevilla, while Celtic will face Atletico Madrid.

Here’s the complete draw for the 2023/24 Champions League group stage:

Group A: Galatasaray, FC Copenhagen, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United.

Group B: Sevilla, Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven, and RC Lens.

Group C: Napoli, Real Madrid, Braga, and Union Berlin.

Group D: Benfica, Inter Milan, Salzburg, and Real Sociedad.

Group E: Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, and Celtic.

Group F: Paris St. Germain, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle United.

Group G: Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and Young Boys.

Group H: Barcelona, FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Royal Antwerp.

The group stages will take place between 19 September and 13 December, and the final will be held on June 1, 2024 at Wembley in England.
