People In Takoradi Are Stingy And Unsupportive-Atemuda Asserts
The Fante King Kong, Atemuda, has said that even though he used to reside in Takoradi, he would never return because people in Takoradi are close-fisted and unhelpful.
Atemuda recounts his days in Takoradi where he got leverage from Takoradi’s popular movie “Junka Town”. He grieved at the fact that he wasn’t paid as a cast, even though he was popular yet went hungry.
He simmered over the fact that rich people and business owners could have supported or sponsored but it was the opposite.
“I got roles without being paid in “Junka Town” and the subsequent movies but it was the beginning of my career and it’s the same thing that has taken me this far.”
” I sometimes wonder why people in Takoradi especially the rich and business owners and even the government officials in Takoradi refuse to help us. It’s terrible and pitiful how they act like we don’t exist”, He exploded.
Speaking to Nana Ama Shancy on Spice FM’s OFIE ne FIE Atemuda revealed that nobody has the right to question why he moved out of Takoradi because if he was still here he’d be nobody.
The actor further declared that nobody can stay in Takoradi and make it big time especially those in the creative art industry because of the unsupportive behavior of our people in Takoradi.
“The best comes from the West but we are always carrying last because of our unhealthy attitude. We don’t support, we are stingy and most of the people in the creative art industry are fumbling.
Honestly speaking, I’ve not seen anyone making it big time by staying in Takoradi especially those in the entertainment sector. Castro moved to Accra, Kinaata did the same and even Lasmid”, he pinpointed.
