Western Regional Minister Touts Takoradi As The Most Developed Constituency Within The Coastal Regions Of The Country
Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency and Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has touted Takoradi as the most developed constituency within the coastal regions of the country.
Speaking to Beach FM’s Arafat Musah on the back of his last community engagement series in the region, Mr Okyere Darko-Mensah mentioned some developmental projects been tackled and others under construction.
Mr Darko noted some infrastructure development such as GNPC Headquarters in Takoradi, construction of the Takoradi Interchange projects, and the expansion of some major roads in the Metropolis.
“All the development that lacked behind, is being tackled. We asked for the GNPC Headquarters, and we’ve gotten it, we asked for the double road from Takoradi-Sekondi, and we’ve got it, and we’ve got some other roads.”
“The interchange was a major thing that people wanted to see. We’ve done 83 percent of it. So everything that the people of Takoradi have asked for, we are getting it.”
“We have over 2,000 kilometres of roads throughout the Western Region if we can energize our contractors we should be able to make everybody happy.”
