One person arrested by police in relation to the murder recorded in a viral video in Ayiem

In connection with the homicide that occurred on August 25, 2023, in Ayiem, Western Region, the police have apprehended a single suspect. The victim, a 28-year-old named Amoh Kwadwo, was fatally shot.

Preliminary findings from the police reveal that the arrested suspect, Emmanuel Quayco, was part of a group of six individuals attempting to demonstrate their purported supernatural abilities.

During this demonstration, the suspect allegedly used a single-barrel firearm loaded with an AA cartridge to fatally shoot the victim, who was known as Mallam.

Emmanuel Quayco is presently under police custody, cooperating with ongoing investigations. Authorities are actively working to locate and apprehend the remaining five suspects who are currently evading capture.

They are strongly advised to turn themselves in at the nearest police station to face legal proceedings, as law enforcement is determined to locate them even if they are hiding.
