The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has mentioned jobs as the most raised concern throughout his community engagement series.
In an interview with Beach FM, he said that although he is working towards providing jobs to the unemployed in the region, he admonished them to create something for themselves.
He said public sector workers live on ‘hand-to-mouth’ salaries. He thus encouraged the youth to explore other areas to create wealth for themselves and their communities.
” I believe the most important message that has been raised has to do with jobs but like I always say, government jobs are good but are hand to mouth,”
” I used the opportunity to encourage them to do something for themselves, so they can create prosperity not only for themselves but their community,”
” I believe they can do the same, so when I meet them, I encourage them as well.”
