Kenya is set to offer visa-free access to Africans

Kenya’s President, William Ruto, announced that as of the end of 2023, African travelers will no longer need visas to visit Kenya.

Addressing an audience in Congo-Brazzaville, he expressed concerns about the negative impact on business and entrepreneurship due to travel restrictions, emphasizing the importance of facilitating the movement of people within the continent.

Ruto stated, “by the end of this year [2023], no African will be required to have a visa to come to Kenya. Our children from this continent should not be locked in borders in Europe and also be locked in borders in Africa”.
