The microphone that Cardi B tossed at fan during her Vegas performance is up for auction to support charitable causes
The microphone that Cardi B flung into the crowd during her performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas is currently up for auction on eBay, with proceeds going to charity.
Scott Fisher, whose company provided audio support for the event and other nightclubs in the city, listed the microphone for sale. The current bid stands at over $99,000 as of Thursday afternoon.
Fisher noted that they supplied multiple microphones for the show and confirmed with the venue’s crew which one Cardi B had used. He identified the specific microphone as the one marked ‘main,’ which became widely recognized after being thrown into the crowd when Cardi was splashed with liquid. Fisher confirmed that the microphone is still functional, having tested it upon its return to the audio shop on July 31.
Fisher shared his intention to do something positive with the auction proceeds after being encouraged to sell the mic. He plans to donate the earnings to two charitable organizations: the Wounded Warrior Project, which aids veterans and service members, and the Friendship Circle Las Vegas, providing support to individuals with special needs.
However, an additional video emerged where Cardi B actually invited the audience to throw water toward the stage, specifically asking them to “splash” water “in [her] p—y” before the microphone incident occurred.
Following the microphone incident, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, was listed as a battery suspect. The woman struck by the microphone reported the occurrence to the Las Vegas Metro PD, but after a thorough review and consultation with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, the case was closed due to insufficient evidence, and Cardi B will not face charges related to the incident.
The auction for the now-famous microphone will continue until Tuesday.
