Update of Brawire Fire Outbreak; Report reveals premix fuel caused the outbreak


Reports from investigations conducted by the Ghana Fire Service revealed that, the outbreak of fire at Barwire a suburb near Axim was caused by premix fuel that was stored in one of the sheds.


According to the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE), Madam Dorcas Amoah , a total of fifteen Thousand Ghana Cedis worth of fishes amongst other properties were lost to the fire.

Madam Dorcas Amoah, mentioned that she would provide a new shed for the women who were affected by the fire to aid them in getting back to business so that subsequently other challenges could be considered .

Background of the story.
On Sunday,January 9, 2022, fire broke out at Brawire, a suburb of Axim, where a number of shed, used by fishmongers in the community was destroyed by the fire.


It took the timely intervention of the fire service and some community members to put the fire under control
