Today, July 28, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, is expected to hold a significant engagement with Members of Parliament ahead of the upcoming mid-year budget review.
The review is scheduled to be presented on Monday, July 31, 2023.
During this event, the government’s fiscal plans for the remainder of the year will be outlined, with a focus on measures to ensure economic stability and promote growth.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has encouraged all lawmakers to participate actively and contribute their inputs into the mid-year budget review.
He emphasized that the discussions will cover financial matters and statutory funds, and it is crucial for absent members to join the deliberations.
It’s worth noting that the presentation of the budget had experienced multiple rescheduling, with the initial date set for Tuesday, July 25, and later changed to Thursday before being ultimately fixed for July 31.
