Career Session And ICT Boot Camp Organised For students Of Ahantaman Girls Senior High School

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Volta River Authority, VRA has organized a Career session and ICT Boot Camp for students of the Ahantaman Girls Senior High School in the Western Region.

Speaking to the students, the Manager for Corporate Affairs, Sam Kwesi Fletcher encouraged the girls to venture into science and IT-related courses which come with lots of opportunities.

According to him, the students should not concentrate on the challenges which come with the Science and IT courses but rather embrace them for their numerous benefits.

” Information communication technology is the future.

The ICT revolution is here, and we cannot miss out, and if we want to be part of the ICT revolution, it’s better to catch them young by giving them the opportunity to understand the good side of ICT, and how it can be applied in our daily lives,” Mr Flectcher said.

The Head Mistress of the School, Madam Ernestina Kankam, while thanking VRA for the initiative, shared some of the positive impacts such courses have on education.

” Most of the students will appreciate how relevant science and ICT are in our world. Now they will be encouraged and motivated to take courses in Science and IT, with what has been shared with them here.

This is the first of its kind, and we wish they could come bi-yearly, we are really glad about this opportunity,” She mentioned.
