Kabiru Moro, a former striker for Asante Kotoko, has tragically passed away after collapsing on the pitch during a community game in Akwatia, Eastern Region.
The footballer was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately could not be revived. Family sources have expressed their concerns about the hospital staff’s alleged negligence, as they believe there was a chance to resuscitate him. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed at this time.
In accordance with Islamic customs, Kabiru Moro is set to be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Throughout his career, he played for various teams, including Asante Kotoko, Real Tamale United (RTU), and Medeama SC, the reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League.
Kabiru Moro was 35 years old.
