Barbara Mahama; Widow of slain Major Mahama unveils memoir
On July 21, 2023, Barbara Mahama, the wife of the late Major Mahama, will release her memoir titled “RESILIENCE: Reflections from a Widow’s Diary.” This significant date marks six years since her husband’s tragic passing.
In the self-written memoir, Barbara Mahama recounts the heart-wrenching story of Major Mahama’s death, which occurred on May 29, 2017, in Denkyira Obuasi, Central Region. It is alleged that he was lynched during a morning walk in the community.
Currently, fourteen individuals, including the then Assembly member for the area, William Baah, are facing trial in connection with the death of the military officer. All defendants have pleaded not guilty to charges ranging from murder to conspiracy to commit murder.
