Stephen Amoah Charges Entrepreneurs To Professionally Manage Their Businesses

The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Stephen Amoah has charged entrepreneurs to manage their businesses professionally to ripe the expected benefits.

Speaking at a Forum organized by the Ghana Enterprise Agency, GEA, to mark World MSME Day in Accra, Dr Amoah expressed worry that most micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises cannot make it beyond owners’ existence.

This situation leads these businesses to collapse right after the demise of entrepreneurs.

He said the Ministry in collaboration with GEA will soon organize training programs to equip these entrepreneurs within the Ghanaian economy with the necessary skills to enhance their operations.

He underscored the essence of capital in the business environment and called on entrepreneurs to pay attention to how they manage their businesses considering the weak nature of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Chief Executive of GEA, Miss Kosi Yankey-Ayeh reiterated the Agency’s resolve to continue to support entrepreneurs, especially women considering the significant role they play in the country’s economic development.

The focus of this year’s celebration is building resilient and sustainable MSMEs to create one million jobs.
