MTN withdraws decision to increase MoMo cash-out fees from July 1
Mobile telecommunication leaders MTN have withdrawn the decision to increase Mobile Money fees.
The decision, which will see a 1% charge on transactions up to GH¢2,000 and a flat rate of GH¢20 for transactions above, was to take effect from Saturday, July 1.
But the telecommunication giants say the decision has been put on hold indefinitely.
“The planned review of cash-out fees for MoMo, has been withdrawn,” MTN Ghana said on Monday, June 26.
“The current cash out fee of 1% capped at GH¢10 still remains and will be charged to your wallet.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Just MoMo it.”
