As part of efforts to bring banking service no the doorsteps of its customers, the Lower Pra Rural Bank has opened a branch at the Takoradi Market Circle in the Western Region.
At a brief ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Lower Pra, Mr Isaac Kwamena Afful said the bank is in to maximize shareholders’ funds’ returns. He stated that the bank is in for micro-savers
According to him, for the past 40 years, the bank’s focus has been on micro-savings
He said the aim is also to help build the saving capacities of its customers no matter how small the amount is.
” Whilst the universal banks are focusing on receiving big deposits, we focus on micro-savings. We are at Market Circle to make that the deposits that will be rejected by the universal banks are taken by Lower Pra Rural Banks.
And that is what we have done for the past 40 years. Our focus has always been on the micro-savings. We are here to maximize the returns on shareholders’ funds.
We are urging all customers, both prospective and existing ones to do business with Lower Pra, “
Mr. Afful stated that partnership is one of the visions of the bank, and called for collaboration with other local financial institutions.
” We are going to compete effectively to make sure that we have mobilized a lot for the bank, with partnership and collaboration, we can work together and lift the image of banking in the country.
So in focus, we are looking at Ghana more than individual banks, which is why there is a need for partnership and cooperation,” He added.
Its banking products include Current Accounts, Call Accounts and Savings Accounts, Susu Savings Fixed Deposit, and others.
