Lady who surmounted 11-year hurdle to study law set to organise Legal Career Seminar
Adelaide Baah-Frimpong persevered through an arduous 11-year legal journey, battling numerous obstacles such as postpartum depression, visa denials, divorce, and exam failures.
However, she managed to navigate the turbulent waters and emerge as a practicing lawyer. Her personal experiences have fueled her determination to assist aspiring lawyers in avoiding the hardships she endured.
In pursuit of this goal, she is organizing an extensive Law Career and Education Fair, touted as the largest free event of its kind. The fair will take place on Thursday, 29th June, from 9 am to 5 pm at the GNAT Hall, welcoming not only Law students but also the general public.
Esteemed figures such as Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alfred Tuah Yeboah, and President of the Ghana Bar Association, Yaw Boafo, will grace the event as speakers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with law faculties, the Ghana School of Law, and law firms, gaining insights into admission and pre-law career requirements. The fair will also feature Q&A sessions, informative talks from seasoned professionals, and discussions on local and international LLM opportunities.
Expressing her enthusiasm on Facebook, Adelaide expressed hope that her connections would take advantage of this unique event, which she and her friends meticulously organized to provide the best possible experience.
Last year, Adelaide shared her journey of studying Law for eleven years on her Facebook page. Today, she sees the silver lining in the challenges she faced during her legal education, inspiring her to assist others in avoiding similar difficulties. She has established a career consultancy firm, named 3 Points Career Consult, specifically designed to support aspiring lawyers. This firm is responsible for organizing the legal career seminar.
Adelaide posted on Facebook, reflecting on her own failures and extended journey, stating that these experiences have guided her in developing solutions through 3 Points Career Consult. She emphasized the importance of comprehensive tutorials, mentorship, and study groups, which her consultancy firm seamlessly provides online. The platform ensures accessibility for students regardless of their location. Adelaide’s ultimate goal is to assist others going through similar struggles, as she firmly believes that there are many who could benefit from her services.
Through 3 Points Career Consult, Adelaide now supports postgraduates embarking on LL.B programs, SHS graduates interested in pursuing LL.B degrees, final year SHS students with an interest in Law, LL.B students, LL.B degree holders preparing for Ghana School of Law entrance exams, Ghana School of Law Regular and Post Call students, and more.
Adelaide firmly believes that the lessons learned during difficult times are invaluable and have the potential to transform lives, both personally and for others. She maintains that giving up should never be an option, and she is committed to empowering others through her own experiences and expertise.
