We’ll surely get you – Police to robbers who killed officer at Ablekuma
The police have issued a strong warning to the perpetrators responsible for the tragic killing of a police officer in Ablekuma on Thursday, June 22. According to reports gathered by 3news.com, the officer was shot multiple times at close range while in front of a bullion van engaged in security duties.
The unfortunate incident took place following an attempted robbery at the Star Oil Filling Station located in Ablekuma Fan Milk, a suburb of Accra.
It is believed that a gang of four robbers had been tracking the bullion van, which had stopped at the fuel station for a refill. The shootout occurred at this point, resulting in the fatal shooting of the police escort.
In response to this heinous crime, the police force has launched a manhunt to apprehend the four robbers involved in the attack.
In a statement issued by the police, they expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased officer and extended their sympathies to all members of the Police Service. They also assured the public that every effort would be made to bring the robbers to justice.
