Citizens’ Coalition has officially inaugurated the Western Regional Chapter targeted at educating and Empowering citizens to be vocal about the ills of society and governance.
The formation of the group is premised on the principle of building a culture of accountability, Safeguarding Democracy and Promoting Inclusive Development.
The program which took place at Hillcrest Hotel in Takoradi on June 20, 2022, brought together CSOs, activists, Associations and the media.
According to Dr Kojo Asante of CDD, Ghana and Citizens’ Coalition Ghana’s political design doesn’t seem to be working for the benefit of the citizens hence the need for every citizen to come together in pushing accountability.
Dr Asante Further explained that starting from the regional bases allows the group to have a better appreciation and representation of issues that face every Ghanaian.
