Nana Ohene Ntow, the former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his belief that Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former Trade Minister and current flagbearer aspirant of the NPP, is the most credible candidate to lead the party into the 2024 elections.

Speaking as the Senior Advisor on strategy and operation for the Alan Kyerematen campaign, Nana Ohene Ntow emphasized that Kyerematen possesses the qualities necessary to navigate Ghana out of its current challenges.

In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face on Citi TV, Nana Ohene Ntow stated, “We are talking about Ghana in a certain situation now, which requires a certain leadership. Ghana’s situation is not about NPP or NDC, it’s about some individual who knows what it takes to lead. Alan is the person who understands the problems of Ghana, and this is shown by his track record.”

He further added, “Given what I know about all the personalities vying to be president of Ghana, their backgrounds and track records, Alan is the most credible to lead Ghana. Considering the current state of affairs in the country, Alan Kyerematen is the person to guide Ghana out of its difficulties.”

When questioned about why Kyerematen is pursuing the highest office in the land, Nana Ohene Ntow explained, “He has demonstrated an understanding of the current problems facing the country and has been able to diagnose them effectively. He has already presented a framework of policy action that, if followed through, can help Ghana overcome its challenges.”

On June 12, Mr. Kyerematen submitted his nomination forms at the NPP’s head office in Asylum Down, Accra, to compete in the party’s presidential primaries. He is among the contenders for the NPP flagbearer position, including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Minister of Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, former General Secretary of the NPP Kwabena Agyapong, and others.
