KRC Genk forward Joseph Paintsil has expressed his admiration and desire to play in the English Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Ghana winger has been in remarkable form in the Belgian top flight scoring 18 and assisting 14 times which helped his team earn qualification into the UEFA Champions League despite missing out on the trophy on the last day.

Several prominent English clubs, such as Brentford, Fulham, and Brighton and Hove Albion, have taken notice of the impressive performances displayed by the 25-year-old. These clubs have shown keen interest in securing his services, further highlighting his growing reputation and attracting attention from multiple potential suitors in the English football scene.

Joseph Paintsil expressed his admiration for the English Premier League, considering it the best league globally. He stated his desire for his agent to explore opportunities in that direction, indicating his openness to a potential future in the EPL while discussing his current status with Genk.

“Every professional footballer will love to play in the English Premier League. That’s the best competition in Europe. I will be looking forward to being taken and representing one of the teams in England,” he said.

“But it’s football and this is the duty of the agent. For me, I’ve already done what I’m supposed to do. So I will just leave it for my agent and the club to decide.

“I will be really happy if teams in England approach and take my best moments and I also show the world and England that I’m capable of giving 100% commitment to which ever club I join.

Paintsil will soon join Chris Hughton’s men in camp as the Black Stars prepare ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar on June 18, 2023.
