The Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency, Dr Eric Oduro Osae has said the Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana, the Internal Audit Agency and the State Interest and Governance Authority have been collaborating to drive change in the public sector of Ghana and it is yielding positive results.
He mentioned that he believes other countries can replicate this collaborative approach and that Ghana is willing to share its experiences.
Dr Oduro said the agency is developing a unified corporate governance code to guide boards of management of public sector institutions for improved governance.
Dr Oduro urged all participants to take the opportunity of the forum to network and benchmark their practices with their peers.
More essentially, they must all commit to supporting processes that help their organizations to create value through innovation.
Dr Oduro made this remark at the opening of the ninth governance forum for the African Federation of Insitute of Internal Auditors in Accra.
