Vetting Of NDC Parliamentary Aspirants Ends In Sekondi

The vetting of Parliamentary candidates in the National Democratic Congress of the Western Region has ended successfully.

At the end of the vetting, some candidates were given the nod to contest the primaries whilst others were disqualified.

George Dadzie Junior of Amefi West Constituency and Frank Kofi Pinto of Kwesimintsim Constituency were disqualified by the vetting committee.

Frank Kofi Pinto expressed dissatisfaction about the vetting process to the media.

He described the actions of the vetting committee as biased.

Western Regional Communications Director of the NDC, Richard Kirk Mensah explained that two of the candidates were disqualified whilst other cases of two female candidates have been referred to National Headquarters for further investigations.

” After all, only two were disqualified, George Dadzie from Amenfi West and Frank Kofi Pinto from Kwesimintsim. Two female aspirants in the persons of Madam Joan Gyan of Amenfi Central and Madam Kukuaa Bissue cases have been referred to headquarters for further investigations.”

He further called on the party faithful to unite and work together as the party needs more seats.

A total of 35 candidates successfully filed their nomination forms and three members of Parliament went unopposed.
