No Ghanaian Artiste Can Fill 10, 000 Capacity Auditorium in UK- Sleeky
Sadick Assah Popularly known as Sleeky Promotions has asserted that no Ghanaian artiste can fill a 10,000 capacity auditorium in the UK.
According to him, some Ghanaian artistes may have big hits and be well known in Ghana, but they may still be underdogs in the UK.
He added that this makes it possible for promoters to struggle towards recouping their investment after an event.
Meanwhile, he explained that Nigerian artistes seem to be doing well than their Ghanaian counterpart therefore there is the need for more collaboration of mutual benefit.
He further advised Ghanaian artistes to invest more in their international promotions and work hand in hand with Ghanaian promoters to push their craft beyond the borders of Ghana.
“No disrespect to either Sarkodie Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale but no artiste can fill a 10, 000 capacity Auditorium in UK. Some of the Ghanaian artiste may be very big in Ghana with hits but they are not necessarily influential in UK, the Nigerian artistes are doing well than their Ghanaian counterpart”.
Sleeky recommended that Ghanaian artistes should collaborate and work hand in hand with Ghanaian promoters in UK for success and mutual benefit.
“Artiste must not be selfish and think about how much they are making from a promoter alone, they must also appreciate the cost components of the organization of event and realign their expectations to meet reality. This will create avenue for more promoters to support Ghanaian artistes “.
Sleeky is one of the key team members of Pan-African Art Society Based in UK which organised the just ended Ghana at 66 In UK.
