The Western Regional Public Relations Officer of the Electricity Company of Ghana, Benjamin Quarcoe says the revenue mobilization exercise is steadily progressing.
Mr Quarcoo beckons that operations in the Western and Western North Regions are so far going on well as customers respond positively to calls to pay their bills.
The Regional Office of the Company expects to retrieve about 8 Hundred and Ten Million cedis during the exercise.
In an interview, he mentioned that disconnection is their last resort as they revere their customers as partners in the business.
” The exercise here in the Western and Western North Regions have been very fruitful. Disconnection is the last resort for us because we recognise them as partners in business.
As a sign of good faith, if you are able to give us more than half of what you owe us, we shall go and come back within one month.
It’s a month-long exercise, so we continue to go to our customers till their settle all their debt,” He said.
The ECG is currently on a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise on March 20, 2023, to get customers in arrears to settle their debts or face disconnection.
