The Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG has announced embarking on a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise starting from Monday, March 20 to April 20, 2023.
ECG noted in a statement that its Head Office, Regional and District Offices except for Customer Service Centres would be temporarily closed to enable total participation by top management and staff.
It added that the exercise would focus on all categories of customers in arrears including State Owned Enterprises.
The exercise would be monitored by special teams who would apprehend and prosecute customers who attempt to interfere with the operations, and /or undertake illegal self-reconnection after disconnection.
According to the Power Distribution Company, customers who have refused to redeem their indebtedness to the company would be arraigned before the court.
The statement ended by advising customers in arrears to settle their bills to avoid disconnection and payment of reconnection fees.
